Privacy policy for Recto
//
Last updated: 17-06-2026
Summary
Recto does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any of your personal data. Your notes and tasks stay on your device, and in your own iCloud account. We never see them.
What we collect
Nothing. Recto has no analytics, no tracking, no advertising identifiers, and no accounts. We do not gather usage data, diagnostics, location, contacts, or any personal information.
Where your data lives
Your notes and tasks are stored locally on your device. If you enable iCloud, Apple syncs that content across your own devices through your personal iCloud account. This sync is handled entirely by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy, and the developer of Recto has no access to it.
Third parties
Recto does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or data-collection services. The only external system involved is Apple's iCloud.
Children's privacy
Because Recto collects no data from anyone, it collects no data from children.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
Recto is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose and reliability.
You are responsible for maintaining your own backups. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any loss, corruption, or unavailability of notes, tasks, or other data, however caused, including data lost through device failure, iCloud sync issues, software defects, or updates. Your use of Recto is at your own risk.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above.
